Last night was one of those nights with no clear thoughts
of anything coming to mind. I was thinking of flowers and colors. Bright colors seemed more appealing at this time.
My fingers were hovering and tapping different objects surrounding me. My mind pondering what result would be derived from the use of each particular textures and intensity. Nothing left to be done now except decide if I like any enough to grace it with a card of some kind.
This Irresistible color I used on the paper above is my first time trying these inks. I will have to look up how to use this better. I was doing good until I had like 3 little air blob/ bubble goof up. I’m sure there has to be a way to avoid that problem. I used a pink Wink of Stella marker for the center of the flowers.
This one is completely colored with Wink of Stella markers. I used light green and the same pink from the previous pic. The stamp set.
If you’ve read my story page or blurbs here and there you know I’m relatively new to the world of blogging & social media things.
This is actually the longest I have ever kept my blog updated with any kind of regularity. Who am I kidding, this is the first time I’ve actually created any functional blog. Let alone a blog with pictures and links …etc.
I’m sorry that I forget to put the names of the products I use. I know if I’m admiring something on a blog I like seeing what products were used. So, going forward I will be adding the information to the posts I’ve already created resolving that mishap. I will also obviously be trying my darndest to include the information in all future posts.
One note. Being as this is all a new world I do not have all the packaging for products I.e; paper packs, stamps, dies, and other miscellaneous craft products. I have remembered to list information on some of my past posts. So if I’m missing any information I will state what I don’t know just as I have done on those posts.
Thank you for your understanding. If you know the info that I’m missing on one of my posts feel free to leave a comment. I will correct the error as soon as I’m able.
Hindsight being what it is the problem actually started to rear its ugly head Friday the 22nd. My husband came home from work and as he entered he commented “Babe do you realize how hot it is in here… It’s 86 degrees. After resetting this, that, and whatever the a/c finally kicked on.
So, being the paranoid person I am I began constantly making sure the a/c was kicking on and maintaining the correct temp. During the day we keep the a/c at 78 degrees. Things were moving align uneventful. Then….Monday the 25th comes along. Granted I know it was working earlier by the time hubby got home it had obviously quit. By some kind of unbelievable miracle the a/c place actually came by around 5:30ish.. However, we were told that the compressor had gone to the a/c scrap yard in the sky. Of course, this was followed by ….but the place we order closes at 4pm.(feeling faint at my possibilities). Which means 2-3 days no a/c.
My brain knew it was going to be hot… and hot & muggy. I had not even imagined how so insanely this was actually going to be. Late Wednesday morning the a/c people called to tell me they’d be by after noon-pm. At 4pm….yes 4pm still no a/c sightings my dogs and I with every fan window and door open were melting in a 90 degree house. Yes, I said 90 degree.
Finally! At a little past 4 the a/c guy pulled into the driveway. My whole body has never been so relieved to see a repair person. My head is dancing and singing bout having a working a/c in a lil bit. I hear my husband come in from outside talking to the dude. As he walks into the room I was in he said it was going to take approximately 4 hour to switch it out. I was stunned and just wanted to scream and cry. I didn’t, but I had really reached my overheated not sleeping tolerance.
the good news…is shortly after 8 pm cold air was felt coming out of the vents. Again I wanted to cry. Of course this time for a totally different reason. It took the air from that time(shortly after 8) until midnight to get the house down to normal.
i absolutely cannot express how much softer my bed felt last night compared to the two previous nights……WHEW!!!!!
Well, I got a wild hair and started cruising around my favorite crafting places / stores. I decided to try to give myself more focus when I’m itching to craft and can’t decide what to make. In the process if I accidentally win any goodies well now that’s just icing on the cake.
Subject of challenge is back to school. Highlights, but not a must using My Favorite Things products.
I hope everyone is able to see what I was trying to accomplish. The pencil, apple, and word back come from MCT Love to Learn stamp & die set. My little fishes and sea grass are from the Fish Bowl My Favorite Things die set. I used TH distress inks for the backGround .
I was hoping my card would appear that the cute little fish were nibbling at the bobbing apple and pencil. Of course these items are the symbolic items associated with school.
Today I had the most amazing thing happen that I just HAD to share. Unfortunately I did NOT win the lottery. However I did find the occurrence to be just about as rare
NO!! Your eyes are not deceiving you. I somehow managed to rack up $2.72 in Fuel Reward Points between last payday and this payday.
At the pump I zipped my WD fuel rewards card then my debit card and couldn’t believe my eye when I saw the price .48 per gallon appear I had to do a triple take. Yup the double take wasn’t clear enough. Try as I might I could not quite squeeze the maximum of 20 gallons into the tank. I did click the nozzle until I thought if I didn’t stop I would be wearing gas. As much as I wanted to get the whole 20 gallons I did not want to be wearing any.
A glance at the pump read out while I was waiting for the receipt to print showed my total of $9.07. YES!! $9.07!! Disbelief is still floating about, ahhh but the proof is on a little strip of paper.
