A Little Crafting is Good for the Soul

Today I had a nice visit with my Mom. She loved the new set I gave her and I was right, she had used most of the previous cards I had given her.

After a few hours of chatting with Mom I left and mosied over to a craft store that my Mom is lucky enough to live close to. Violette’s is the name of the store and it is a great store, tons of goodies. While I was there I found a window die that I have been looking for woohoo! However, the real reason I went there was to get my BFF a gift card for her birthday. We are going to get together on the 16th and hit the local craft stores and have lunch at Olive Garden. Fun fun fun we always have fun days out and about.

Once I got home I made a bee line for my craft haven. I did a little straightening up then I remembered my craft store find. I got down to the business of tinkering with my window die from Poppy Stamps, Grand Madison Arched Window. Die. The trees in the background are Stampin’ Up’s Lovely as a Tree, the little squirrels and acorns are dies from Impression Obsession. I can’t remember if the flowers and leaves are Memory Box or Impression Obsession. The bird die is from Impression Osession and it is like a pack of 5 or 6 different birds. The background colors are Copic markers applied with the air brush system, the yellow paper is from Stampin’ Up and the white is 110lb generic paper from Wal-Mart. I am very happy with the end results.

    1. Thank you. Yes I have had my eBrush system for several months an have barely touched the thing. Like you after I saw Ssndy playing with her system and sparked my interest to work with mine.

When I first took all my masking off the background I was left with a tad on the harsh side. I swiped the Copic colors to try and smooth out the background edgesn. A zingy the thinking in my mind traveled down into my project…lol yeahhhh.
