The minute I saw this Christmas Light background and Christmas Bulb die set, I knew I had to have them!!

So, a few clicks later my order with Simon Says Stamp was placed. Now, I will admit, I’ve had them several weeks and I’ve been trying to decide how I wanted to use them.

This is a watercolor Christmas light card.

Here is what I came up with. I like it, but the glue runner I used that said it was clear on vellum….obviously wasn’t. Too late for tears, I put a lot of work on the background….and card too.

The green paper is from my Stampin’ Up stash. The white is smooth Bristol paper. I used versa mark ink and Ranger Hero Arts detailed super fine embossing powder and heat embossed the light background by Simon Says Stamp.

I used Tim Holtz’s detail water brush filled with water, an assortment of 5 Gina K ink colors. The ink colors were Grass Green, Wild Dandelion, Sweet Mango, Cherry Red, and Blue Raspberry, for the tops I used a silver glitter Copic pen.

Black paper from Stampin” Up Stash, Vellum #29(had forever). For the sentiment I used one of the “Merry Christmas” stamps from the Elegant Christmas Stamp set, using WOW red embossing powder on Versamark ink and heat embossed.

Of course, the Christmas bulbs are cut from the Christmas Bulb die set int light blue & green from my Stampin’ Up stash. The tops were colored silver with a silver Signo pen.

AS ALWAYS KEEP ON CRAFTING & LOVIN’ EVERY MINUTE! NO MATTER WHAT YOUR STYLE!!
