I’m not exactly sure where to put a mink since I’m not really seeing any so I will link on both sites. Morning Dose—Friday Fictioneers hosted by Rochelle-Wishoff-Fields
Surprise Weather
Alice was bare foot and wearing her white cotton dress preparing to hang the laundry on the line outside. She pulled the wet laundry from the washer and loaded it into the laundry basket.
With the wet clothes loaded inside, the laundry basket was quite heavy. She lugged the basket upstairs. Alice set the basket down so she could open the door. She was lost in her thoughts as she grabbed the heavy basket.
As Alice turned to walk outside she was stunned at the site before her. Her little deck was covered in snowy ice. The railing and spindles had clumpy pieces of ice strewn about.
I s’pose I should grab some shoes and a sweater. Not the best weather for hanging clothes, but they are wet and the dryer is not fixed yet.

I’ve hung washing out on a sunny day in the winter and all the shirts froze solid. Tell Alice.

Oh my, those clothes would be frozen in that weather – guess that’s why it’s fiction. 🙂

I’m from a hot climate, do clothes dry outside when it’s icy? She might have an underlying mental condition? Makes me wonder 😀.

Lol I’m from a hot climate as well, I have hung close out on windy 40 degree days Thinking the wind would dry the clothes. A las this did not dry the clothes. However, my desire to go to a laundromat ranks right up there w/ moving…ugh

I’d take a chance on the wind. Live and learn! Perhaps the heater would be a better option 😀.

lol true, would be a little hard to get around the house while things dried though.
