Shoes

So shiny and new

I want to put them on now

Must wait till tonite

  1. When I was five, I was taken to a children’s show broadcast on local television show. When it came time for me to say something, or maybe I blurted it out, I said, “I got new shoes!” Your haiku reminds me of that time, even though your work no doubt speaks for an adult.

    • lol that’s funny. Actually when I was writing it I was thinking about how when I was a kid and I got new “school” shoes I couldn’t wear them until the first day of school…lol Just so limited In a Haiku I just tried to describe something similar.
