Is It Just Me? Did Something Change?

Is it just me? Did WordPress change something? This just started happening today. Every time I place a pingback on someone’s blog / website I get sent a email as if I had placed a comment on my own blog.

When I started receiving these emails I thought I had done something wrong when I was placing pingbacks. . So, I re-posted my pingbacks a few times. However, I was still receiving emails from other blogger’s posting comments on my blog.

I am so confused….

Am I all the sudden doing something wrong today? Are other bloggers noticing something different happening when placing pingbacks.

  2. That is weird! I never check my email connected to my blog, I answer the comments, so I’m afraid I can’t help you there. In regards with pingbacks I didn’t notice any problems.
    In my experience WP has some weird features sometimes, that seems to come and go on their own. I hope some one else can shed a light on this interesting question!
