Fandango’s Provocative Question by Five Dot Oh

Do you think it’s premature for states to be lifting the stay-at-home, shelter-in-place, and social distancing restrictions? Or do you believe that it’s about time they were rescinded? Once they are removed, how quickly are you likely to resume living your life as you did in the pre-pandemic days?

Yes, I think it is time. I believe it best that we slowly test out the waters rather than jumping in feet first. That way incase a sudden increase in new cases begins it will be easier to clamp down and address the issue.

As soon as my parent’s felt safe I would immediately begin visiting them. I miss seeing them terribly.

I ❤️ love to hear your thoughts so feel free leave a comment

  1. We are long over due for opening up the world and living our lives. In fact, I don’t think we should have ever shut down in the first place. We have to live our lives, and we cannot do so while living in fear or in our protective bubbles. Things happen everyday, and always have. But in the history of mankind, despite all these bad things that happen, we never shut down. We persisted and lived our lives as best we could. More people are dying from “the cure” than from the disease itself. More people are dying because they can’t go to doctors for medical procedures, that could be life-saving; more people are dying from drug and alcohol abuse or spousal abuse; more people are dying from heart attacks and cancer; and more people are dying from suicides because they cannot provide for their families. Sadly, I just learned of a friend and co-worker of mine who just committed suicide a few days ago for this very reason. If you are someone who is sick or has a lowered immune system, then by all means, YOU need to do what is necessary to protect yourself and your loved ones. But you CANNOT impose those strict restrictions on others because of your own fears. Life in general is about taking risks. No matter what we do in life, we will take risks in order to actually live. Life goes on and always has.
