Unwelcome

Over the weekend my husband and I visited old friends from our previous residence. I took some fresh baked cookies.

The conversation was easy and friendly. We had lost track of time. I didn’t realize how late it was getting until I accidentally glanced out one of their window.

As we stood up to leave they invited us to stay for dinner. However, I felt unwelcome and so we graciously excused ourselves and said our goodbyes.(91 Words)
