I hated going to our neighbor’s house,.The husband was so cavalier about what he had accomplished. He was also arrogant about his house and surrounding property.

If he was on a rant and you tried to change the subject he would have none of it. He was going to continue to beat you upside the head with his accomplishments until he was done.(64 words)

  1. Good story. I enjoyed it and felt the tension.
    In such situations I have been told to keep my mouth shut and sit on my hands (always a sporting challenge for me). I don’t have to like her friends, but it’s best to test my tolerance at times.
