Unfortunately, no picture yet as I wasn’t sure of what I was seeing. Today is the first day it has come around. I’m not positive but almost positive it is a juvenile male Cardinal.
I’m so excited. This is the first time I have not seen one in full color. Which mean that even though our Cardinal numbers have increased this is the first time I have seen a juvenile.
I was so busy watching him in disbelief that the feeders had been put up that I didn’t think to take a picture until it was too late. He tried several times to land on the hooks the feeder is usually hanging from, he even tried to land on the window…..lol
I am sure he will be around again. I will be at the ready next time.

How exciting! I have a purple finch and numerous goldfinches, including a juvenile. I also saw a woodpecker hanging upside down on the bird feeder to get to the seed yesterday! Watching the birds brings so much peace and joy!

I wish I had some finches. I occasionally had some goldfinches in the winter, but none that are super colorful with purples or anything. Yes, very peaceful and sometimes humorous. I hop you have a nice Wednesday.

This is wonderful. We don’t have cardinals here in England, but my friend in Wisconsin has sent me photos of hers in her garden. They are beautiful. I can’t see them now as I am blind, but I have a wonderful memory of what they look like. Gorgeous
