Fandango’s Provocative Question by Five Dot Oh
Question
Is the concept of “you” continuous or does the past “you” continually fade into the present and future “you”? Considering that your body, your mind, and your memories are changing over time, what part of “you” sticks around?
It saddens me that I can remember the past less everyday. I feel like it has a lot to do with my medical conditions and the medications I take.
I have tried not taking theses medications. Unfortunately, I functioned terribly and my pain level went further off the charts. I had gone off the meds in the past as I didn’t think they were helping due to how sh*tty I felt. Unfortunately, they were / are helping and the sh*tty way I fee is just my reality.
Maybe someday modern medicine will figure something out.
I mostly have to live in today. As most times it is difficult for me to remember yesterday.
There are things that I know will happen in the future that will break my heart. I am terrified about how I will handle these life tragedies.

I am so glad you don’t have to. It is a constant state of consciousness no matter what else the rest of you is doing. I hope you had a nice Wednesday.
