I noticed several days ago that one of the Red Belly Woodpecker pairS was feeding a new fledgling. I have not been able to get a picture of the new fledgling.
I missed a good opportunity to get a better picture of one of the parents today, they are quicker than I am so far today.
I’m just so excited that our woodpecker families area growing. Shoot I’m happy that all of our bird community is growing.

Thanks, I know right? I have red bellied woodpeckers I have gone from one single birds to two pairs and now I have 2 known fledglings.
I also have downy woodpeckers I went from a single bird to a pair and I know they have had babies but I can never spot them.
Have a nice Thursday.

That’s awesome! I’ve seen a lot of red headed woodpeckers (they’re huge!) around my neck of the woods. I’ve also seen one who forages on the ground. I looked it up but forgot the name…
You too!

At first I thought the one above was a red-headed woodpecker, but when I was looking up the little one I saw that it was actually a red bellied woodpecker.
Have a nice one.
