There are so many different types of foundations it can be mind boggling. Many times a foundation will be used to hold money to save for a specific purpose.

Sometimes companies will set up foundations so they can award grants to colleges or to other companies. They will also use this money to give scholarships to qualified students. I am sure they are also able to use these for tax deductions

People will also set up these types of foundations when they lose someone so their memory is kept in people’s mind.
