It’s Been A Very Long Time

First, let me say this desert is absolutely scrumptious, and it only has 4 ingredients!

A note about my version of the recipe. I used sugar free cool whip when I made my desert. I will also say I used 2 quarts of strawberries and 3 pints of blueberries. I may have been a little heavy handed…lol, but hey, it’s fruit right…?

On a more serious note. I have felt so terrible over the past 4+ years that my Mother has tried not to ask me to make anything for get togethers. Although I have made one or two things over the years.

I used to absolutely LOVE cooking and trying new recipes. Every since my medical problems started snowballing it is painful to do anything, including the things I used to look forward to doing.

Even though I wanted to bring this and help my Parents it was nowhere as fun as what now seems like a lifetime ago. My husband has been doing everything for I can’t remember how long.

That being said, my husband put a chair close to a cutting board for me along with knives and bowls I would need to prepare things. He also took the cool whip and pound cake out to thaw. I don’t know what I would do without him.

So, I sat in a chair, cut up the pound cake, cored and sliced the strawberries. As I was getting to the layering of the ingredients my back was starting to cramp. All in all it turned out pretty good. I couldn’t hold the strawberries well enough to do the decoration I made on a previous version(I did not make the flag design).

Well, that’s enough whining as I am sure you are about tried of reading it as much as I am tired of living it.
