Blogging Insights #57–Your Blog Name by Salted Caramel

Question

Why did you choose your particular blog title? Was their a reason behind it or was it just a random choice? 

I started picking names that had to do with arts, crafts, handmade card making, and such. Then I started trying to come up with something catchy or a way to make it unique and I finally decided on Paperkutzs.

My other blog I just went the straight forward way. Thinking it would be easier for potential customers to find me at HandMadeCardCreations.

Do you think that a catchy, “click bait type” title does better or is a blog name that indicates the general purpose of the site more attractive for readers?

Hmmm, I’d have to say the blog name has a little bit to do with your following or how people come to take the time to check out your blog.

However, I believe it has more to do with your content and how you treat your readers’ and followers’.

Some bloggers have the same user name and blog title? What is your opinion of this? OR Are you one of them? If so, could  you share your reason for this?

Well, my user name and main blog name are the same, but with a lot of people when I converse with them I use my real name. This is probably because I used my real name when creating my profile.

As I sit here thinking about it I have no real reason why my user and main blog have the same name other than perhaps ease of setting things up for me.
