Question

Is Common Courtesy Now A Thing Of Our Past?

If it is not a thing of the pat it is extremely few and far between. I can also tell you it seems impossible to pass it on by example.

I am not against technology. However, it seems that the more time “people(old or young)” spend online the more out of touch they become.

I think this especially is true of those born in the mid to late 90’s. Definitely those born in later years.

It doesn’t help that more and more households are dependent on two incomes.

If anything I think one good thing that may come from all this COVID business is that more parents are working from home. Some unfortunately forced to be home but not working. This helps step the no hands on parent back in the right direction.

I think, and this is my personal opinion, if companies see that people working from home can be advantageous the better it would be.

I totally understand that many would have to get used to this new way of being, but I think it would kind of give our kids the best of both worlds.

First, two incomes(hopefully at least one from home) and second more time with our kids to teach them life lessons that they may be missing.

No matter how hard we try there is no compromising a concerned parents input.. No matter how difficult this may be for the parents at times.

  1. Reminds me customer service. And the lack thereof…… working for a paycheck and know little to nothing about the product you’re supposed to be serving customers. And act inconvenienced when asked about the product.

    • I know what you are talking about, but it also depends on the person providing customer service.

I used to be a tech support phone tech for America Online. I hated when co-workers would just try to hurry and get someone off the phone

Them I would answer the phone to help someone that was mad at me because of someone else. I on the other had felt these people were paying for a service and I had no problem having an hour or longer phone call. Don’t get me wrong I am far from perfect.

Unfortunately, as with everything service of any kind whether online or in person all depends on a person, their values, and if they care.
