Christmas Sunrise

Zoe is wrapped in a quilt with her hands wrapped around her warm coffee early Christmas morning. There is frost on the outside of the windows.

Amazingly the house is not noisy with chaotic activity yet.

There was a soft glow of light emerging from the horizon now. As she silently watched the sunrise light pink and purple hues began emerging.

A smile broke out on Zoe’s face as she heard little feet start moving around upstairs. She turned as her husband placed a kiss on the top of her head.

Zoe stood with her husband’s arm around her waist. They laughed as they watched wide eyes running down the stairs. Squeals ensued and thus Christmas Day was to begin.
