New Craft Room Crafting W/ Mom

Technically, Mom did come over last week. However, despite having all our stuff out we got distracted yakking and talking about the new craft room.

We had a nice visit. We just didn’t get any crafting done…lol

So, we both bought a watercolor class from Craftsy.com and were working on practicing some watercolor techniques that I have shown above, not that it show anything super interesting. I decided to show them just the same.

The far left one is a practice simple tree and attempting to make it look mor rounded like an actual tree trunk. I just did it in red as that was the color I had handy.

The other 2 are just some practice strokes and some water practice. I figure since mine was in red I was practicing the red tide. For those of you who don’t know, at least in Florida I think it is some kind of algae bloom that takes up oxygen in the water and kills fish and other stuff. Sometimes it is worse than others.

Mom is coming over next Thursday and we will be working on the 7th lesson out of 15 and we will be working on Watercoloring a bowl and background.

Since we are doing the bowl next week we need to work on sketching the object and simple scene. Actually, I am thinking we need to draw several so we have some extra for practicing.

Not an Earth shattering post, but it’s a post just the same…lol
