Question

When it comes to navigation in unfamiliar territory, do you shun technology, relying on traditional maps and written directions, or do you leave the atlas behind letting GPS and Google Maps guide the way?

I know I am a little late, but better late than never.

Personally, I use both. I love the convenience and generally correct GPS’s and Smartphone navigation. However, there are time and places where you can’t count on these for certain.

On one trip to MA with my Mother and my Aunt when we were up in the mountains the phone / GPS usage was spotty at best. So, we ended up buying a map and I navigated from the back seat..lol

For this exact reason I hope they are still teaching this “old”(heehee) navigation skill in school so the digital age has a back up plan.
