Will The New Approach To Medical Care Lead To Lower Prices?

I preface this by saying these are my opinions as jaded as they now may have become.

No.

I am still paying my copays for home web visits.

Hospitals will still need big diagnostic equipment and they will still need to pay people enough to make them want to stay to run the tests and read the results. They will also need to pay their doctors enough to want to remain doctors at whatever facility.

In addition People will still have to pay for ungodly insurance rates that still will cause monetary strain.. We paid 22K yes you read that right for me and my husband we paid 22K for insurance. Due to his work hours being cut for many months due to COVID that is more than 1/3 of our household income. Even a full years pay would make the cost close to a 1/3, Yet my medical care is still dependent on how much what a doctor wants to do costs.

This does not even include prescriptions. Of which just on a personal note I am tied to generic prescriptions because the insurance charges too much to get name brand. Too bad I may or may not be missing a better newer drug that might actually help me, We will never know as they are ou of our pay grade.

Yes, I included slightly more than what the question required, but that’s just the way it goes. The topic makes my blood boil.
