Does anonymity encourage people to misbehave or does it reveal how people would choose to act all the time if they could? 

Anonymity encourages people to do and say things they wouldn’t normally do face to face. I think it depends on the person if the worst is surfaces.

  1. I think anonymity emboldens people. If people are programmed and have an affinity to do bad things, being anonymous allows gives them the courage and them to do things they would not necessarily do otherwise. If people are programmed for good, it will not change their behaviors one way or another.
