Question

Have you ever taken a hiatus (break) from blogging? If so, how long did your hiatus last and why did you take it? How difficult was it to return to blogging after your hiatus? Did your stats suffer and did you lose readers as a consequence of your absence?

I have had this blog technically since 2014, which blows my mind. It has not seemed that long.

However, I was very sporadic in my posting and my following and stats were extremely low. I have had more blogger’s read those long ago posts when I post them as Flashback Friday posts. Than ever read when I originally posted them.

Approximately 2-ish years ago I got serious in my blogging. On this blog I decided I was going to be a more proactive blogger and I wasn’t going to worry about blogging on one particular topic / idea.

I created Handmadecardcreations.com and decided I would only post my handmade cards on this blog. I would still post my handmade cards on this blog as I have many followers here. More than I ever dreamed.

Since that time I have been in my blog groove and have posted at least something everyday. My posting on both my blogs did slow down a bit over the last month due to having get my new craft room set up.

I do need to get back into the card making groove. I have not missed many days, but I have missed more than usual. I also took some days to make other things.
