Weekend Writing Prompt #195–Gargantuan by Sammi Cox

Gargantuan

Some children that often played together were looking for something different to do. One of them had the idea of having a bubble blowing contest.

They each popped a piece of gum into their mouths, chewing vigorously. They knew they had to get past the sugary good part so they would be able to blow bubbles.

“POP”, “SMACK”, and another “POP”. Laughter was making it hard for them to blow bubbles. Out of nowhere there was the most gargantuan “POP” yet.

They all looked from one to the other. Then they stared at the boy whose face was covered with sticky, pink gum.

They erupted into laughter. (96 Words)
