Silly, But Awesome!

A couple of days ago I was working on making some laminated storage snap envelopes that I saw Scrapbooking With ME Crafts making on You Tube. Using the new plastic snaps I bought at Amazon.

I thought I would make a few as they looked neat. I also thought they might make good storage for little odd and ends.

The first one I made I tried to glue the sides together. After using a few different kinds of glue and using clips to hold them in place while the glue dried I got one made. However, it came apart easily when I tried to expand it and put something inside.

The next thing I tried was hand stitching. Well, I finally got one finished, but my hand and fingers were not happy. Just about the time I thought I would never get some made I had to do a <forehead slap>.

Duh! I have my sewing machine right behind me…🙄 Wooohoo love the new set up. I knew the thread would need to be reran as with all the moving I was certain the needle would not be threaded.

Jez, nothing is ever simple.

It took me forever to get that needle threaded 🥵 !%&^?$! . Then I don’t know what happened, but the thread got all tangled up and promptly snapped….ugh

Okkkkk, I took another fortnight and threaded the needle again. SNAP! Grrrr. This time I totally unthreaded the whole thing and reran the thread and yes I threaded the needle again.

Shut the front door! I was in business! I got the 4 envelopes I had left all sewn. Love them!
