Whats(In)The Picture? By Chrisbreebaaart.com
Although the door was open, no one was allowed to enter on their own volition.
There was an old man seated at the pedestal by the door who controlled all access. Unfortunately, the old man looked exhausted and unenthusiastic.
Everyone was getting tired of standing in line. Almost as tired as the mad guarding the door. At least the old man could sit down.
Everyone in line jumped as the old man suddenly yelled NEXT…step forward!!1 He would write names on his clipboard, them he would thrust a thermometer at the person’s forehead, and them log it. If that was all that was being done before entrance was granted it wouldn’t be too bad.
Then, the old man would rattle of the following list of questions. He asked the questions faster than anyone thought possible. Have you been out of the country, have you been around anyone who has been sick, have you been short of breath….and so on.
Finally, entrance was granted, if there was enough room that is. If there was not room you were directed to a waiting area.
