Question Of The Day

Question Of The Day by The Wandering Empath

Question Of The Day: What Is Hope & Is It. Good Thing?

I think there is a fine line between hope and a dream. Both help us feel some optimism when times appear grim. I think dreams are more grandiose where hope is more realistic.

I believe hope is a good tool to have in our arsenal a coping skills. This is especially true during lifers low points.

It would also be helpful on a bigger scale. for instance, when our wonderful country seems to running scarily out of control.

In one’s own life hope may give you a happy and attainable goal to ease tensions.

On the larger scale hope may allow you to find small(or large)ways where you can help set the wheels of justice & equality rolling in the right direction.

I would have to say there is passive hope. This would be where you just wait and see if things turn around.

Then you have proactive hope. Where you jump in feet first an attempt to force things to turn around.

Which brand of hope do you subscribe to?

  1. To me, hope is only good when it is backed by action because like faith, hope without the will and drive to roll your sleeves and trousers and get in knee deep in work, it’s useless.

Hope is good, it gives you positive anticipation of good to amazing results but those results are a consequence of action.

Lots of love from me to you. Have a brilliantly productive and positive day.
