Meet Luna, Our New Love Bird

As you see in the photo Luna has had a busy birdie day and is taking a quick nap.

We found a lady(Maggie)on birds now.com online that had 3 hand fed babies that were just weaned and learning how to fly. I have never seen love birds in the colors that she had. Maggie was nice enough to trim her wings for us.

We don’t know if it is male or female, but that’s okay. Since it is darkish blue and white I thought Luna was appropriate. The colors make me think of the moon.

Luna is a sweetie. We were sure to get a baby this time as my husband has never been able to enjoy bird ownership. As in physically participating in the bird love and attention a well treated bird can give you..

We did have parakeets awhile back that were sorta finger trained, but it is not the same as having a bird that loves your attention.
