Question

How have you adapted to the complete removal of the classic editor from WordPress.com? Are you managing to get by with the block editor, or are you finding it difficult to want to blog now that your trusted tool is no longer available?

Well, I miss the classic editor big time. I am stumble bumbling my way the the block editor. However, I feel as if there I are things I am missing that I don’t even know missing.

    • Not for me it isn’t. All the fun ways of accessing it through the drop-down options on the Add New Post button under the wp-admin page or choosing the “classic editor” link from the post list, and even the original post list from the wp-admin page are all gone. The ONLY editor I have any access to at all is the block editor. Now I can use the classic blog which sort of emulates the classic editor, but it just isn’t quite the same. I don’t know if it’s because I am strictly using the free hosting package through WP.com, or if I’m part of some group they have singled out to do away with the classic editor and the old wp-admin section altogether, but it isn’t accessible for me, which is why I posed the question the way I did.
